Is the Oxygen Visa® Debit Card a prepaid card?
No, the Oxygen Visa Debit Card is not a prepaid debit card. Oxygen offers a banking* platform that includes a deposit account and a debit card connected to that account.
The deposit account allows you to deposit funds and make purchases from your account using your Oxygen Visa Debit Card. Unlike a prepaid debit card that requires you to add a specific amount of money in advance, your Oxygen Visa Debit Card is linked to a traditional bank account, and you can manage your funds and make purchases using your Oxygen Visa debit card or Oxygen virtual cards.

Who can open an Oxygen account?
In order to open an Oxygen personal or business account, you must be a U.S. citizen 18 years of age or older.
How do I open an Oxygen account?
Download the app, input your email and create a password, enter your phone number and complete 2FA setup, create a passcode and your application is complete. You can also sign up online at oxygen.us.
Is there a fee to open an Oxygen account?
There are no fees associated with opening an Oxygen personal account. However, if you would like to open an Oxygen business account, you can find fees and requirements explained here.
What information do I need to provide to open a personal account with Oxygen?
In order to open an Oxygen personal account, we will need your email address, password, first and last name, birthdate, phone number, full mailing address and Social Security number (SSN).
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens a Card Account. What this means for you: When you open a Card Account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see a copy of your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
Do I need a government-issued identification (ID) to open an Oxygen personal account?
In some cases we may ask you to provide your government-issued passport, drivers license or ID during the sign-up process.
Can I open an Oxygen account for my child?
You must be at least 18 years of age or older in order to open an Oxygen account, and you cannot open an Oxygen account for someone other than yourself.
Does Oxygen offer joint accounts?
No, Oxygen does not offer joint accounts at this time.
Is there a minimum balance requirement in order to open an Oxygen account?
There is no minimum balance requirement to open an Oxygen account.
Does Oxygen offer a sign-up bonus?

When will I receive my Oxygen debit card card after opening an account?
You should receive your card within 7–10 calendar days.
