Adding Money to Your Oxygen Account

There are 6 ways you can transfer money to your Personal or Business deposit accounts.

Direct Deposit (fastest)

How to Fund Your Direct Deposit.

1. Pinwheel (automatic direct deposit)

2. Direct deposit form
3. Employer portal

To add funds via Pinwheel, tap “Add funds” in the Overview tab and choose “Direct Deposit”. If you’re adding your payroll to Oxygen for the first time, tap the “find employer” button. You will be directed to use your employer or income provider's login information to set up your direct deposit automatically. Choose “Full paycheck” or “Specific amount” depending on your preference, edit, and tap “Confirm”. Once your employer/income provider processes the change, it may still take 1 to 2 payroll cycles to take effect.

To add funds via direct deposit form choose More\Direct deposit\Create a new form\Add employers name and choose either Full Paycheck or Part\Proceed to signature\Sign your name\Confirm. This form can be shared with your employer or income provider to have your paycheck deposited into your Oxygen account.

To add funds via the employers’ portal you’ll need your routing and account number. You can find your routing and account numbers in the Oxygen app by going to More\Account numbers. Input the routing and account numbers into your employers’ HR software. You should receive funds in your account at the time of your next paycheck.

Payment Apps (such as Paypal, Venmo, and Cash App)

To add funds via a payment app you’ll need your routing and account number or Oxygen Visa Debit Card.

You can find your routing and account numbers by going to More\Account numbers. To find your Oxygen Visa Debit Card information choose More\My cards. Copy the numbers.

Next, log into the payment app of your choice and find the option for payment methods. Add your Oxygen bank routing and account numbers or Oxygen debit 16-digit permanent account number (PAN). Follow the recommended steps to connect your information. Once connected, you should be able to create a transfer to your Oxygen account.

Please note that some external bank accounts may perform a penny test–this means that your bank provider will send a small and specific sum of money to your Oxygen account, which you will have to confirm, before transferring the entire sum. This may affect the arrival time of your deposit into your Oxygen account.

Green Dot Cash Deposit

To transfer money to your Oxygen account via a Green Dot ® cash deposit, visit a designated Green Dot ® location. Bring the amount of cash you would like to deposit into your Oxygen account with you along with your Oxygen Visa Debit Card. The agent at the Green Dot ® location will deposit the cash into your account. Please note that you may be asked to enter the PIN number associated with your Oxygen card.

This method has a transfer fee of $4.95, initiated by Green Dot ®. This method also has the following limitations:

  • Limit of 3 deposits per day, with a maximum of $1,000.00 per deposit

  • Limit of $1,000.00 per day

Wire Transfer

Initiate a wire transfer in the Oxygen app by going to More > Wires. Please note that wire transfers are only available for Water, Air, Fire, and Business customers at this time.

Transfer money into your Oxygen account through a wire transfer from your external bank account. This must be initiated through your external bank account or preferred money transfer service. You will need your Oxygen account and routing numbers, which can be found by going to More > Account numbers.

Mobile Check Deposit

Now through the Ingo check deposit feature, you’ll be able to deposit checks within the Oxygen app as long as you have an active Oxygen Visa Debit Card.

To cash a check from the app, choose More\Cash a check\Scan a check (this will connect you with Ingo’s feature home page). From there, follow the prompts by scanning a clear photo of both the front and back of the check and inputting the amount of the check.

You can choose to deposit the check in minutes for a small fee and immediately have access to those funds (the standard fee is 2% for payroll and government checks with a pre-printed signature and 5% for all other accepted checks, with a $5.00 minimum fee per check.) or by the standard 10 business days for free.

External Transfers

Linking an external bank account: a guide to connecting and verifying your accounts

To add funds from another account in your name to your Oxygen account, you’ll first need to connect your Oxygen account to that external bank account. You can do this by logging into your external bank account app or website and connecting your Oxygen account there.

If you already have funds in your Oxygen account and want to transfer them to a linked external account, go to “Transfer funds,” then select “From” your personal deposit account “To” the external bank account of your choice.

Be aware that the minimum transfer amount is $20. Please allow 3–5 business days for the transfer to post from your Oxygen account to your external account.
